Meet Our Assistant Principals

Ms. Christina Kabbadias, AP

AP KabbadiasDear Parents and Guardians,

Hello and welcome to PS/MS 146! I am honored to serve as an Assistant Principal of The Howard Beach School and the direct supervisor for Grades 3K–4. Our students are at the heart of everything we do, and I am committed to creating a learning environment where every child feels seen, supported, and encouraged to reach their fullest potential.

In my work with our early childhood and elementary grades, I partner closely with teachers, support staff, and families to ensure that our youngest learners build strong foundational skills while also growing socially and emotionally. Together, we cultivate a school community rooted in respect, kindness, curiosity, and high-quality instruction.

Whether I’m visiting classrooms, supporting student activities, or working hand-in-hand with families, my goal is always to help every child feel successful, confident, and excited to learn. PS/MS 146 is a special place, and I am grateful for the opportunity to help our students shine each day.

Sincerely,

Ms. Christina Kabbadias
Assistant Principal

AP MckieDear Parents, Students, and Staff of PS/MS 146Q,

Happy New Year and welcome to the second half of the 2025-2026 school year! My name is Marybeth Mckie, and I am both excited and honored to introduce myself as the new Assistant Principal here at PS/MS 146 Q. I’m looking forward to working with all of you to make this a truly remarkable year for our school community.

As we begin this new chapter in January, I believe it's the perfect time to embrace the opportunities that come with a fresh start. Whether you're a student, teacher, staff member, or family member, we all have the chance to reflect on the progress we've made and set our sights on new goals for the rest of the year.

As the Assistant Principal, I will be focusing on ensuring that our students receive not only a strong academic foundation but also the social and emotional support they need to thrive. I’m also eager to engage with families, hear your thoughts, and be an active part of the community here in Howard Beach.

I invite you to reach out with any questions or concerns, or simply to introduce yourself if we haven’t met yet. Together, let’s make the rest of the school year a time of growth, achievement, and success for all.

Wishing you all a wonderful start to the new year. I look forward to what we will accomplish together!

Best,

Ms. Mary McKie
Assistant Principal
